PATROL Party-List on Friday, September 17, 2021, distributed wheelchairs to persons with disabilities (PWDs) and the elderly who are struggling or permanently unable to walk.

The activity was led by its representative in the 18th Congress of the Republic of the Philippines, Congressman Jorge Bustos, Patrol Party-List Third Congressional District Chairperson Kay Pineda, and Police Regional Office-Central Luzon led by Regional Director Police Brigadier General Valeriano De Leon.

"In a time of uncertainty brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic, where our countrymen are forced to trudge through challenge after challenge in order to survive, our nation will need leaders who will care for our fellowmen, provide a voice to their sectors and constituencies, and offer options to those deprived of equal opportunity in life," said Pineda, who is eyeing a seat in Pampanga Provincial Board in 2022.

"We can continue to step forward and greet the day with a smile on our face and a heart full of hope as long as we have the heart to serve God and our fellow man," Pineda said, adding that the advocacy is in accordance with Patrol Party-List’s vision to forge a nation where every Filipino family can lead strongly rooted, comfortable and secure lives.

Meanwhile, the Police Regional Office-Central Luzon staff was led by Deputy Regional Director for Administration Police Brigadier General Narciso Domingo also actively participated in the distribution of 30 wheelchairs and food packs to selected beneficiaries. (Chris Navarro)
