MEXICO, Pampanga -- The Pampanga I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Pelco I) has distributed bags of relief goods last Friday to around 600 families from the towns of Arayat, Candaba and San Luis particularly those from low-lying barangays who experienced flooding from the recent typhoons.

Bags of goodies containing rice, canned goods, instant noodles, coffee and others were distributed at the CSR covered court of Pelco I to the said families which are also member-consumers of the said power distribution firm.

Present during the activity was Arayat board of director Rodrigo Santiago who said that the relief-giving activity is just among the many corporate social responsibility of the electric cooperative and is one way of helping the consuming public especially those in marginalized communities.

Meanwhile, Engr. Remiluz Maglaqui, Pelco I Institutional Services department manager, quipped that the endeavor was made possible in partnership with San Miguel Global Power, the power firm's supplier of electricity.

Last August 3 of this year, a similar relief-giving activity was also conducted by Pelco I for the towns of Candaba and San Luis which were badly hit by floods from massive monsoon rains. Beneficiaries were around to 500 families from the said municipalities. (PR)
