PORAC— Senator Imee R. Marcos and Mayor Jaime "Jing" V. Capil led the distribution of assistance to the beneficiaries under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) at Jose Songco Lapid Sports and Civic Center.

Marcos said the town is ready for cityhood as more development and business projects have started to pour into the municipality.

Joining Marcos and Capil during the distribution are TIEZA Chief Operating Officer Mark Lapid, Vice Mayor Francis "Budoy" Tamayo, Sangguniang Bayan members, department heads, Barangay chairmen, and officers-in-charge of DSWD and MSWD.

The AICS program is a social safety net or a stop-gap mechanism to support the recovery of individuals and families from unexpected crises such as illness or death of a family member, and other crisis situations.
