San Fernando college students win big in ALCU

SOME students of the City College of San Fernando (CCCSF) were proclaimed victors of different academic and cultural competitions in the recently held general assembly of Association of Local Colleges and Universities (ALCU) Region in Central Luzon over the past week in Marilao, Bulacan.

CCSFP’s delegates who bagged awards in the academic competition for both English and Filipino categories include Melvin Aguilar, Extemporaneous Speech Contest (first runner-up); Limarah Gutierrez, Declamation Contest (first runner-up); and Julia Lagman, Essay Writing Contest- (first runner-up).

Other winners were Hannah Rae Ching, Deklamasyon (champion), Romalaine Manalang. Pagsulat ng Sanaysay (champion); and Prince Jonald Yutuc, Pagbigkas ng Talumpati (second runner-up).

Meanwhile, three students likewise earned recognitions in the vocal contest: Kenneth Juco, Vocal Solo (second runner-up); and Kim Jaiel Basilio and Sherilyn Lopez, Vocal Duet (second runner-up).

This is the sixth time the association held a general assembly for its member colleges and universities around Central Luzon. (PR)
