Santa Rita barangays now almost Covid-free

THE town of Santa Rita in Pampanga now only has one active Covid-19 patient, as nine of its 10 barangays are now coronavirus-free for the past five days.

The Municipal Government of Santa Rita said Barangays Becuran, San Agustin, San Basilio, San Jose, San Juan, San Matias, Santa Monica and San Vicente now have zero Covid-19 cases.

Even Barangay Diladila, which at one time had 27 active cases, is now coronavirus-free. Only Barangay San Isidro has one remaining Covid-19 case.

Since the start of the pandemic, Santa Rita had recorded 80 Covid-19 cases. Of these, 75 have already recovered, while four people have died.

The town has been able to control the spread of the virus after two instances of spikes in cases among its population.
