GOVERNOR Susan Yap said Tarlac province is a safe place for the LGBTQIA+ community.

This as the country joins the celebration of said community.

"This month, we celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and their freedom to be themselves," the governor stated in his FB social media post.

LGBTQIA+ is an acronym which describes people who are not heterosexual or exclusively cisgender. It stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, intersex, and asexual.

Yap stressed that everybody deserves to love and to be loved and happy.

"Para po sa akin, lahat ng tao -- ano pa man ang kanilang kulay, kasarian, itsura, o paniniwala ay karapat-dapat mahalin, magmahal, at maging masaya," the governor said.

"Tarlac is a safe place for all --- regardless of gender preferences or sexuality. We are all humans, deserving and capable of love," Yap added.
