A TRICYCLE driver was arrested by local police in Sta. Ana town after allegedly peddling illegal drugs to an undercover police agent during a buy-bust operation.

The suspect was identified as Ronald Pangilinan alias “Toti”, 46, who has reportedly long been involved in the proliferation of illegal drugs in Sta. Ana, particularly in Barangay Sta. Lucia.

During the operation, the operative who posed as buyer bought a sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu from Pangilinan in exchange for P500 marked money.

After the transaction, policemen in the area immediately arrested Pangilinan who willingly surrendered. He was brought to the police station for proper questioning and further investigation.

Aside from the sachet of suspected shabu and marked money, police also recovered eight more sachets of suspected shabu from Pangilinan.

Pangilinan is set to face charges for violation of Sections 5 (sale), 11 (possession) and 15 (use) of illegal drugs after the suspect also admitted to using shabu.
