'Undocumented' logs seized

A MAN transporting alleged undocumented logs was arrested in Aurora province by authorities during anti-illegal logging operations on May 4.

Police Regional Office-Central Luzon Director Brigadier General Valeriano De Leon identified the suspect as Joel Bilog, 49.

De Leon said the suspect was caught in the act of transporting about 3,000 board feet of illegally sawn lumber loaded on his driven truck.

The undocumented lumbers, which destination was not disclosed, were also confiscated by the operating team.

The suspect is now facing charges for violation of Presidential Decree 705 or the Revised Forestry Code of the Philippines.
