CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Vice Governor Lilia Pineda expressed the need for sustainable support programs for the province's vulnerable sectors on her first session as the Provincial Board's presiding officer.

Pineda urged members of the board to pass laws that would enable regular assistance for seniors and the sick.

She said she will also be working closely with the youth sector to bring more legislative support for their needs.

The vice governor also asked Board Member Moshe Lacson to bring to the legislative floor the needs of the Pampanga youth.

Pineda said she will complement the social service programs of the province with legislative support in every way possible.

She also asked the help of the executive department to address the flooding situation in the Pampanga's Fourth District towns.

The new presiding officer also thanked the members of the Provincial Board and those who have helped her during her time as governor.
