LUBAO town’s Pradera Verde will soon have a world class racing circuit that will be able to host international and local motor racing events.

Hermann Tilke, a German engineer, racing driver and circuit designer, who designed numerous Formula One motor racing circuits, said that the project will cover some 100 hectares of land inside Pradera Verde.

Tilke presented his design before media men and sports enthusiasts inside Pradera Verde in Lubao town over the weekend.

Some 100 hectares will be allotted for a racing circuit designed by Tilke of Tilke Engineering - one of the four racing circuit designers in the world and the only one commissioned to design Formula 1 tracks.

The Pradera Verde Racing Circuit should be able to hold grand prix, international, local and club events and will have four track configurations.

It is slated to have at the very least FiA grade 2 rating but Tilke says it is also suitable for Formula 1 as well.

Future plans also include a karting track and drag strip that conforms to the highest international standards. It can hold up to 100,000 spectators.

The new development will complement Predera Verde’s tourism and sporting amenities.

The 400-hectare Pradera Verde tourism estate is around five minutes away from the Dinalupihan exit of the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway.

The area is a world class integrated resort with a 36 hole golf course, residential subdivision lots with fairway views, a natural swimming park, a theme park and a 60 hectare wakeboard park resort which is currently the biggest wakeboard water body in Southeast Asia.
