BINALONAN, Pangasinan – The provincial government of Pangasinan has distributed some 8,128 educational tablets to the different Department of Education (DepEd) schools divisions in the province to be given to their students this school year.

Governor Amado Espino III and other officials led the turnover of 3,464 tablets to Pangasinan 2 Schools Division, 400 to Urdaneta City Schools Division on Wednesday; 3,464 to Pangasinan 1 Schools Division, 400 to Alaminos City Schools Division, and 400 to San Carlos City Schools Division on Tuesday.

“Do not forget to focus on the children. Mag two years ng walang face-to-face classes kaya sana magabayan ng husto ang mga kabataan. (It is almost two years since we did not have face-to-face classes so hopefully you will be able to guide young learners well),” Espino said in his message to the school administrators and teachers.

He also thanked them for their sacrifices for the education of the students.

“I thank you for your sacrifice, especially for your sacrifices for the students in this new environment to an unknown future. But one thing is for sure, this will soon be over,” he added.

The distribution of the gadgets was requested by the schools' division superintendents for the deserving students.

“Ang aming pangako sa ating gobernador na ang mga tablets ay mapapasakamay ng mga mag-aaral na binantayan namin at pinili sa pamamagitan ng iba’t ibang pamantayan para matiyak na deserving. (Our promise to the governor is that the tablets will be handed over to students whom we monitored and chosen according to the set requirements or standards to ensure that they are deserving),” said Dr. Ely Ubaldo of the DepEd Pangasinan School Divisions 1.
