DUHA ka mga sakop sa Communist Party of the Philippines - New Peoples’ Army (NPA) ang kumpirmadong nakabsan sa kinabuhi sa sunod sunod nga engkwentro nga nahitabo sa boundary sa Misamis Oriental ug Bukidnon sa niaging adlaw.

Ang engkwentro gilangkoban sa kasundalohan gikan sa 403rd Infantry Brigade (403Bde) nga nagsugod niadtong adlawng Biyernes hangtod kagahapong adlawa.

Unang enkwentro nahitabo sa Barangay Minalwang, sa lungsod sa Claveria, Misamis Oriental uban ang 65th Infantry Battalion (65IB) ug 1st Special Forces Battalion sakop sa 403rd Brigade.

Napatyan ang sakop sa NPA ug nakuhaan og mga ubay-ubay nga gamit sama sa bandoleer nga dunay 4 ka magazines ug live ammunitions sa M16, M14, ug AK-47 rifles; aduna sab 20 meters nga wire alang sa Improvised Explosive Device (IED); ug mga dokumento ug personal nga gamit.

Sa engkwentro kagahapon laing patay nga lawas na usab ang narekober diin nakumpiska ang usa ka M16 Rifle ug usa ka garand rifle gikan sa patayng lawas.

Gibutyag ni Brigadier General Eric Vinoya, Commander sa 403rd Infantry Brigade nga nasubo sila sa kamatayon sa mga walhong grupo.

“We offer our sincere condolences to the families and relatives on the death of the 2 NPA terrorists. This could not have happened if they heeded our call of surrender. Hence, I once again call upon the CPP-NPA terrorists especially those who were wounded in the recent encounters with our troops, come down, we will help you seek proper medical attention along with our local officials and return to the mainstream society,” matud niini.

Gikumpirma sab ni Rex Manansagan kinsa Brgy. Kapitan sa Minalwang sa Claveria nga mokabat sa 210 ka mga indibidwal nga iyang sakop nanghikling human apektado sa engkwentro.

Gikabalaka sa mga residente nga basin unya ug maigo sa bala ang mga residente hinungdan nanghikling sa ubos nga bahin.

Hinoun gibutyag ni Kapitan nga ang Provincial Risk Reduction Management Department (PDRRMD) ubos ni Jun Dy nitubag na sa panginahanglan sa residente nga apektado ug gidalhan ang katawhan og relief goods sama sa mga pagkaon.
