Giawhag ni Talisay City Mayor-elect Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas Jr., ang iyang kaatbang nga napildi nga kandidato pagka mayor ug outgoing Bise Mayor Alan Bucao, nga tahuron ang gusto sa kadaghanan.

Sa video nga gi-post sa iyang opisiyal nga Facebook page, gitubag ni Gullas ang mga pasangil ni Bucao nga siya ug ang iyang grupo, ang Barug Lumad Talisaynon, gilimbongan niadtong Mayo 9, 2022 nga piniliay.

Napakyas si Bucao sa pagpukan kang incumbent Mayor Gullas, nga nakakuha lang og 31,277 ka botos ubos kaayo itandi sa 93,701 ka botos ni Gullas.

“I respect their right to protest and to voice out their stand. That is the reason why I let them hold rallies in front of the Talisay City Hall as long as they wanted, even without the necessary permit, and even until the end of my term as the mayor of the city. However, I hope they would also respect the majority of Talisaynons who voted for me as their mayor,” matod ni Gullas.
