9 couples tie knots in PNP mass wedding

AT LEAST nine couples from the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Eastern Visayas exchanged vows during the mass wedding rites Thursday, February 14.

Police Regional Director Dionardo Carlos initiated the wedding to coincide with the celebration of this year’s Valentine’s season.

“This mass wedding allows our personnel to enjoy the blessing of the sacrament of matrimony and further legitimize their relationship with their partners in line with the PNPs’ call for morality and decency,” said Carlos.

“The Police Regional Office in Eastern Visayas strongly emphasizes our high regard for family life and the essence of matrimony in this season of love,” said Carlos, who stood as one of the principal sponsors of the wedding.

The newly-married couples are Police Senior Inspector Reynaldo Sobreviga and wife Melinda, Police Officer 3 Alexis Balana and wife Remedios, Police Officer 3 Jeffrey Betonio and wife Marieta Betonio, Police Officer 3 Randi Cañete and wife Janelle, Police Officer 3 Herminio Garcia and wife Joy, Police Officer 3 Ronnel Saklay and wife Lorlyn, Police Officer 2 Erick Carbona and wife Janice, Police Officer 1 Vicente Navidad Jr and wife Zenny, and non-uniformed personnel Lowell Peterson Pascua and wife Beverly.
