23 wanted persons, 570 other violators nabbed in Eastern Visayas

POLICE arrested 23 most wanted persons and 570 other law violators following the anti-criminality operations across Eastern Visayas from September 20 to 26, 2021.

“With our daily intensified conduct of police operations, I hope that all those with warrants of arrest who are still at large be arrested,” said Brigadier General Rommel Bernardo Cabagnot, police regional director.

As a result of the seven-day simultaneous operations, police in Eastern Visayas have seized suspected shabu with a total estimated street value of P199,852.25, while 125 different firearms were turned over, confiscated, and recovered from “Kontra Boga” operations.

Meanwhile, 14 alleged rebels also voluntarily surrendered during the week-long operations.

The former rebels turned in one M14 rifle, four caliber .45 pistols, four caliber .38 revolvers, one caliber .357 revolver, 137 rounds ammunition, two units of anti-tank mine and one unit of anti-personnel mine. (SunStar Philippines)
