9 most wanted persons nabbed in Leyte

NINE most wanted persons were arrested following heightened anti-criminality operations in Leyte towns from March 25 to 26, 2021.

“We drastically reduce crime, corruption and illegal drugs and intensify manhunt operations on most wanted persons who are fugitives from justice and continue to pose threats to peace and order in our country,” said Colonel Rodelio Samson, director of Leyte Police Provincial Office.

The arrested persons were facing charges for violation of Anti-violence against Women and their Children Act, murder, thief, illegal logging, and cockfighting, among others.

The accused were from the towns of Dulag, Barugo, Sta. Fe, Matalom, Alangalang, Dagami, and Tolosa.

They were brought to their respective police stations prior to turn-over to their courts of origin. (SunStar Philippines)
