Another teenager nabbed for 10 counts of rape in Saint Bernard town

A JOINT police force arrested another 16-year-old student for alleged 10 counts of rape in St. Bernard, Southern Leyte Friday, September 10, 2021.

Personnel of St. Bernard Municipal Police Station, led by Major Ronnie Abendan, together with the 2nd Southern Leyte Provincial Mobile Force Company, led by Corporal Constancio Sumayod under the supervision of force commander Lieutenant Colonel Joel Nicha, apprehended the student around 6 p.m. Friday.

The accused, who is identified as Top 1 most wanted person (provincial level), was facing a warrant dated July 7, 2021.

Presiding judge Jacinto Elle, of Regional Trial Court-Branch 26 in San Juan, Southern Leyte, did not recommend bail to the accused.

He was brought to the police station for documentation prior to turn-over to the court of origin

On August 24, 2021, joint police operatives also arrested a 16-year-old student for alleged 13 counts of rape in Saint Bernard. (SunStar Philippines)
