POLICE arrested on Saturday, June 13, 2020, a suspected drug personality in a joint buy-bust operation in Santa Rita, Samar.

The suspect was identified as Jonard Austria, 33, married and a resident of Tacloban City.

Joint elements from Tacloban and Samar Police, together with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Eastern Visayas, arrested the suspect around 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Barangay Dampigan of the said town.

Confiscated from the suspect’s possession were one sachet of suspected marijuana as the subject of sale; one sachet of suspected marijuana, as the subject of possession; and a P1,000 bill with serial number JS773249 used as buy-bust money.

The suspect will be facing drug charges, police said.
