A TOTAL of six houses were razed by fire in Barangay Loyo, Basey, Samar Wednesday, May 26, 2021, according to the Bureau of Fire and Protection.

The fire broke out at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday and was declared fire out after around 39 minutes.

Some other concerned citizens also tried to put out the spreading fire.

No casualties were reported, said the Basey Municipal Police Station in the report.

However, the estimated cost of damages amounted to P220,000.

Authorities are investigating the incident. (SunStar Philippines)
