High-value drug suspect nabbed in Tacloban

JOINT operatives arrested a high-value individual (HVI) during an anti-illegal drug operation in Tacloban City Thursday, November 19, 2020.

The suspect was identified as Dave Secuya, 32, a resident of Ormoc City, but temporarily residing in Tacloban.

Personnel from Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Tacloban City Police Office-Station 2 led by Lieutenant Rey Baldicano Jr., in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), arrested the suspect around 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Barangay 110 Zone II, Utap.

Confiscated during the operation were six sachets containing shabu with an estimated value of P380,500, buy-bust money, and a pair of eyeglasses.

A barangay official and a media representative witnessed the markings and inventory of confiscated pieces of evidence, police said.

The suspects will be facing charges for violation of sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (SunStar Philippines)
