Man, 72, dies after casting vote in Biliran

AN ELDERLY man died after casting his vote at a polling precinct in Biliran, Biliran Monday, May 9, 2022.

Authorities said Miguel Corpin, 72, became suddenly unconscious while inside the polling precinct at Biliran Central School at around 9:25 a.m. Monday.

Corpin, a farmer and a resident of Sitio Lumbia, Barangay San Roque in Biliran, was rushed to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival by Dr. Alvin Ian Peñaflor, the attending physician at Biliran Provincial Hospital.

According to the police, the possible cause of death was due to acute coronary syndrome. (SunStar Philippines)
