Sec. Roque, Mayor Romualdez distribute titles to Yolanda victims

PRESIDENTIAL Spokesperson Secretary Harry Roque, Jr. and Tacloban City Mayor Alfred Romualdez distributed on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, some 254 land titles under the Yolanda Permanent Housing Program to the beneficiaries of Villa Diana in the city’s northern resettlement area.

“Sa wakas po magkakaroon na kayo ng titulo, katuparan ng pangako ng gobyerno na hindi kayo malilimutan ni President Rodrigo Duterte,” said Roque as he reminded the beneficiaries to “take care” of their housing units.

Romualdez also thanked Roque for visiting the city, adding that he was able to relay the other needs of the Yolanda housing beneficiaries to Roque so it will reach the president.

“Patuloy tayong nagpapasalamat kay Presidente Rodrigo Duterte sa mga tulong na ibinibigay ng kanyang administrasyon,” Romualdez said.

The mayor assured the recipients of the free notarial of their documents, while the city government is also working for their other tax-exemption in the processing of the said documents from concerned national agencies.

Earlier, Romualdez also distributed 397 titles to the housing beneficiaries at St. Francis Village in Tacloban North through the assistance of the National Housing Authority-Eastern Visayas, City Social Welfare and Development Office, and City Housing and Development Office. (SunStar Philippines)
