THE police have arrested a suspected big time drug pusher in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City on Saturday, the police said on Monday.

Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the suspect as Patim Igasan, 28.

He was arrested in a drug bust around 10:40 p.m. Saturday at Don Toribio Street, Barangay Tetuan.

Confiscated from the suspect was some P340,000 worth of suspected shabu packed in one heat-sealed plastic sachet weighing more or less 50 grams and P2,000 marked money consisting of two P1,000 bills.

Galvez said the drug bust was carried out following surveillance on the illegal drug trade of the suspect.

The suspect is now detained while appropriate charges are set to be filed against him. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
