2 nabbed, P342,000 drugs seized in Zamboanga

TWO people, including a high-value target personality, were arrested while some P342,500 worth of illegal drugs seized in separate anti-drug operations in Zamboanga City, the police said Wednesday, October 9.

Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspect as Emma Usman alias Amang, 60, a high-value target personality and Romel Raveche, 22.

Galvez said Usman was caught in possession of some P340,000 worth of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in a drug bust Tuesday in Sto. Niño Village. Also seized from Usman was P500 marked money.

The police officer said some P2,500 worth of suspected shabu and P200 marked money were seize from Raveche who was arrested on the same day in a drug bust also in Sto. Niño Village.

The two suspects were detained pending the filing of appropriate charges against them, she added. (SunStar Zamboanga)
