2 village councilors swear in as chairpersons

TWO village councilors took oath of office Monday, July 1, before Zamboanga City Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar replacing their respective village chairpersons, who were elected as city councilors.

They are Walmart Atilano who replaced former Tetuan village chairperson and now second district City Councilor John Dalipe and Florencia Arcillas who replaced former Calarian village chairperson and now first district Councilor El King Omaga.

Dalipe, who garnered 85,745 votes topped the council race in the second district while Omaga landed number eight in the first district with 47,240 votes in the May 13, 2019 midterm polls.

Dalipe advised Atilano to perform his tasks well and continue and improve “what program we have started” for the benefit of Tetuan village.

He assured Atilano that he is ready to extend his help for the betterment of the village.

Tetuan is known as top performer in the protection of children and as the most pet friendly village.

Omaga also advise Arcillas to do her tasks as what the resident expect from her and to continue the significant accomplishments he left.
