THREE alleged big-time drug pushers were arrested, while P340,000 worth of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) were seized in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, an official said Monday, July 23.

Laurefel Gabales, of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), identified the arrested suspects as Reymark Sandoval, 28; Mohalidin Musa, 28; and Redden Principe, 31.

The three were nabbed in a drug bust conducted by the PDEA and police around 4 p.m. Sunday, July 22, in the village of Poblacion, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Gabales said the suspects were arrested after they sold 50 grams of suspected shabu in exchange for P340,000.

The arresting team confiscated from the suspects P1,000 marked money aside from the 50 grams of shabu.

Gabales said the suspects will be charged with violations of Section 26, in relation to Sections 5 and 12, Article II of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (SunStar Philippines)
