THREE persons, including an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) and online dealer, were arrested in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City, the police said Tuesday, February 18.

Police Captain Edwin Duco, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) information officer, identified the arrested suspects as Airen Sahibil, 30; Nurhan Ismula, 31, an online dealer; and Alicia Adjuraini, 33, an OFW.

Duco said the suspects, all newly-identified drug personalities, were arrested in a drug bust around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday at Corcuera Street in Zone IV Village.

He said the arresting team seized from the suspects some P17,000 worth of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) packed in seven heat-sealed plastic sachets and P200 marked money.

The suspects were detained while a case for violation of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against them, he added. (SunStar Zamboanga)
