3 nabbed, P25,000 ‘shabu’ seized

THREE persons were arrested, while P25,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized as the anti-drug campaign of the local police continues in Zamboanga City, an official said Thursday, February 7.

Chief Superintendent Emmanuel Luis Licup, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula director, identified the arrested suspects as Nurjan Sawdjaan, 28; Sarah Alih, 47; and Junaid Alih, 39.

Licup said Sawdjaan was arrested in a drug bust around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday on Puerto Princess Drive, Talon-Talon village.

Seized from Sawdjaan were P10,000 worth of “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) packed in eight heat-sealed plastic sachets and P200 marked money.

Licup said the Alihs were arrested in another drug bust at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday on Demarunsing Drive in Sta. Barbara village. They yielded P15,000 worth of "shabu" packed in six heat-sealed plastic sachets and P200 marked money.
