4 nabbed, P340,000 ‘shabu’ seized

FOUR persons were arrested while some P342,200 worth of suspected “shabu” were seized in two separate anti-drug operations in Zamboanga City, an official said Thursday, May 2.

Arrested were the following: Allan Jimenez, and 30, Wilson Luchavez, 39, both hotel decorators; Ashley Francisco, 30, businesswoman; and Ranny Lakibul, 23.

Police Brigadier General Emmanuel Luis Licup, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula director, said Jimenez, Francisco, and Luchavez were arrested in a drug bust at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday at Acuña Drive in Tumaga village.

Licup said P340,000 worth of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) packed in nine plastic sachets, and P1,000 marked money were confiscated from them.

Lakibul, meanwhile, was caught in possession of some P2,200 worth of suspected shabu during a drug bust at Lubak in Campo Islam village, the police director said.

He added that seized from Lakibul’s possession was P200 marked money.

The suspects were detained pending the filing of appropriate charges against them, Licup said. (SunStar Philippines)
