7 hurt in road crash in Zamboanga

SEVEN people, including the driver of a public utility van (PUV), were injured in a road crash in Barangay Manicahan, Zamboanga City at around 7 a.m. Saturday, December 28.

Police Captain Edwin Duco, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) information officer, identified the victims as Rexon Omar, 45, driver; Jonalyn Ramos, 40; Miguel Alfonso, 63; Edmond Gaspar, 52; Tirso Dellacan, 52; Dulaca Calisang, 26; and Ma. Elsie Calisang, 56.

Duco said investigation showed that Omar lost control of the PUV before it slammed into a marker of the Triskelion fraternity and water pipe.

He said the driver and the injured passengers were taken to the hospital for treatment. (SunStar Zamboanga)
