9th most wanted in Zamboanga del Sur town nabbed

AUTHORITIES have arrested a construction worker listed as one of the most wanted persons in Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur, the police reported Wednesday, November 2, 2022.

Police Colonel Diomarie Albarico, Zamboanga del Sur police director, identified the arrested wanted person as Jonathan Abejo, 37, a resident of Purok 3 in Katipunan village, Guipos.

Albarico said Abejo was arrested in an intelligence-driven operation by policemen from Guipos and Manila Police District around 4 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, on Claro M. Recto Avenue, Tondo, Manila.

Albarico said that Abejo is charged for violation of Republic Act 7610 otherwise known as “Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act,”

He said that Abejo, who was listed ninth most wanted person in Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur, has standing warrant of arrest for violation of Republic Act 7610 with recommended P200,000 bail issued on April 24, 2018 by the court of Pagadian City. (SunStar Zamboanga)
