CRIMINAL Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) operatives have arrested another bet collector of an illegal numbers game in Zamboanga del Sur, the police reported Saturday, September 17, 2022.

This, as the CIDG-Zamboanga Peninsula continue to implement its campaign against illegal gambling in the region dubbed as “Oplan Bolilyo.”

Police Colonel John Francis Encinareal, CIDG-Zamboanga Peninsula director, identified the arrested bet collector as Edilyn Bagundol, 26.

Encinareal said that Bagundol was arrested around 1:21 p.m. Friday, September 16, in Purok 6, in Bag-ong Balamban village, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur.

Encinareal said seized from Bagundol were P50 marked money, P1,140 bet money, and illegal numbers game paraphernalia.

He said that the arrested bet collector was taken to the Mahayag Municipal Police Station and later to the CIDG-Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Field Unit for documentation and proper disposition.

Bagundol was arrested four days an illegal numbers gam bet collector was arrested in Zamboanga Sibugay province.

Arrested by CIDG-Zamboanga Peninsula operatives on Monday, September 12, was Greta Paderanga, 39, who was caught collecting bets for illegal numbers game in Purok 22, Polacion village, Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay. (SunStar Zamboanga)
