Anti-drug ops net 3 in Zamboanga City

THREE people were arrested in separate anti-drug operations on Tuesday, February 26, in Zamboanga City, the police said Wednesday.

Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, said the arrested were the following: Arasam Lelleng, Ricky Hajula, and Jomar Isil.

Galvez said Lelleng was arrested in a drug bust at 1:20 p.m. at Seaside in Baliwasan village who yielded four heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) with an estimated street value of P800 and P200 marked money.

Meanwhile, Hajula yielded some P2,500 worth of suspected shabu packed in five plastic sachets and P200 marked money when arrested at 4:20 p.m. at Purok 7 in Sitio Cambodia, Sangali village, she added.

The police officer said Isil was caught in possession of some P1,200 worth of suspected shabu and P200 marked money around 6 p.m. in Tulungatung village.

She added the suspects were detained while appropriate charges are set to be filed against them. (SunStar Philippines)
