Anti-drug sting nets 1, over P326,000 shabu seized

ONE person was arrested while over P320,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City early Wednesday, December 1, 2021.

Police Major Albin Cabayacruz, Zamboanga City Police Office’s (ZCPO) Station 7 chief, identified the arrested suspect as Aziz Alamia, 44, a resident of Villa Sta. Maria in Sta. Maria village, this city.

Cabayacruz said Alamia was arrested by the operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) in an anti-drug operation around 3:15 a.m. Wednesday, December 1, at the bypass road in Tumaga village, Zamboanga City.

Cabayacruz said recovered from Alamia were some 48 grams of suspected shabu worth P326,400, a belt bag, and P500 marked money.

He said they launched the anti-drug operation against Alamia following a series of surveillance on the illegal activity of the suspect.

He added that charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against the suspect, who was detained. (SunStar Zamboanga)
