Automotive mechanic shot, wounded

AN AUTOMOTIVE mechanic was shot and wounded in the town of Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay, the police reported Saturday, January 21.

Police Colonel Eduard Mallo, Zamboanga Sibugay police director, identified the victim as Boyet Loizo, Sr. 48, a resident of Purok 5 in Lower Tungawan village, Tungawan town.

Mallo said the incident happened around 10:5 a.m. Friday, January 20, at Purok 3 in Lower Tungawan village, Tungawan.

He said the victim was allegedly shot and wounded by Rey Luna, 32, a resident of Purok 4 in Lower Tungawan village.

Investigation showed Luna pulled a handgun and shot Liozo at closed ranged at the height of their heated argument.

The victim was taken to Vitali Hospital for treatment while the suspect fled and remain at large.

Mallo said that Tungawan policemen are tracking down the whereabouts of the suspect. (SunStar Zamboanga)
