THE Department of Health in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (DOH-Barmm) has completed the constructions of three barangay health stations, providing residents easy access to basic health services in Marawi City.

The three barangay health stations, which is worth P2.5 million, are located in Amito Marantao, Bacolod Chico Proper and East Basak.

Dr. Bashary Latiph, minister of health, has formally turned over Monday, September 27, the three projects to Marawi City Health Officer Ali Dalidig and to the respective village chairpersons after the inauguration ceremony.

Latiph said the facilities were part of the Marawi Recovery, Rehabilitation, and Reconstruction Program funded by the Department of Health central office and implemented by the Ministy of Health-Barmm.

Latiph said the facilities were equipped with mechanical beds, oxygen tank and therapy set, 10 kilovolt-ampere (KVA) generator set and other medical apparatus worth P800,000 to ensure that the barangay health stations will be instantly operational.

“We in the Ministry of Health have been trying our best to address the needs of our constituents in terms of health care and medical services. That’s why we keep on delivering basic health care services like this Barangay Health Station,” he said.

Dalidig thanked the Barmm government and encouraged the constituents to make use of the health stations.

“You will no longer need to endure the long queues in our City Health Office to avail of health and medical services since we have brought them to you. Our health workers will be here in this Barangay Health Station to serve you,” Dalidig said. (SunStar Zamboanga)
