A BUSINESSWOMAN was killed in a gun attack in San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur on Monday, September 17, police said.

The Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Police Office identified the victim as Norma Apiag, 64, who was rushed but failed to reach the hospital alive.

The incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. Monday at Purok Malipayon in the village of Poblacion, San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The victim, police said, was at the back of the municipal gymnasium when shot by a lone gunman.

Investigation are ongoing to establish the motive and identify the suspect, police said. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
