Crime group member nabbed in Zamboanga Sibugay

JOINT police and military operatives have arrested a crime group member in an intelligence-driven law enforcement operation in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, a top police official said Thursday, March 25.

Police Brigadier General Ronaldo Genaro Ylagan, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula director, identified the arrested suspect as Dido Enriquez alias Faizal Enriquez, 28, a resident of Purok Marang in Tenan village, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Ylagan said Enriquez was nabbed around 12:30 a.m. Thursday along the national highway in Tiayon village, Ipil.

Enriquez has a standing warrant of arrest for murder issued on July 23, 2019 by the court of Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

The suspect, who is on bail for drug charges, is a member of the Barahama Alih crime group.

Ylagan said Enriquez has also been listed as the number 2 drug personality in the entire Zamboanga Peninsula.

Enriquez was placed under the custody of the Ipil Municipal Police Station for proper disposition. (SunStar Zamboanga)
