LAWMEN have arrested a newly identified drug personality and a tattoo artist in separate anti-drug operations in Zamboanga City and Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte, the police reported Wednesday, June 24, 2020.

Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspects as Katrina Ladja Hadain, 37; and James Raymond L. Lapiz, 19.

Galvez said that Hadain, a newly identified drug personality, was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Baban Drive in Baliwasan village, Zamboanga City.

Galvez said confiscated from Hadain were some P25,000 worth of suspected shabu packed in eight heat-sealed plastic sachets, a coin purse and P500 marked money.

Galvez said that Lapiz, a tattoo artist, was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 8:10 p.m. Tuesday in Santa Filomena village, Dipolog City, the capital of Zamboanga del Norte.

She said recovered from the artist were some P60,000 worth of suspected shabu and P500 marked money.

She said the two suspects were detained while formal charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are set to be filed against them. (SunStar Zamboanga)
