Drug syndicate member nabbed in Zamboanga Sibugay

JOINT team of police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) personnel arrested in a law enforcement operation an alleged member of a crime group and drug syndicate in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay.

Police Brigadier General Jesus Cambay Jr., Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula director, identified the arrested suspect as Jumli Mohammad Samdani, 48, an alleged member of the Alih Crime Group and of the Damsa Drug syndicate operating in Zamboanga Sibugay.

Cambay said that Samdani was arrested around 1 a.m. Wednesday, October 7, in Purok Marang, Tenan village, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Samdani has a standing warrant of arrest for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 with no recommended bail, he said.

Cambay added that Samdani has also been listed as the number 3 regional target of PDEA.

Samdani was placed under the custody of Ipil Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition. (SunStar Zamboanga)
