AUTHORITIES have arrested a fisherman in an anti-drug operation in the province of Zamboanga del Norte, the police reported Monday, October 17, 2022.

The Zamboanga del Norte Police Provincial Office identified the arrested fisherman as Omar Musaddin, 37, a resident of Suhaile Arabi village, Siocon.

The police said Musaddin was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 1:08 p.m. Sunday, October 16, at Mendiola Bridge in Mateo Francisco village, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte.

Confiscated from the arrested suspect were a gram of suspected shabu worth P6,800, a cellular phone, illegal drug paraphernalia, and P500 marked money.

The police said the arrested suspect was detained while charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are set to be filed against him. (SunStar Zamboanga)
