Kidnap suspect arrested in Zamboanga City

AN ALLEGED member of a kidnap-for-ransom-group (KFRG) was arrested at 3:10 p.m. Thursday in the vicinity of the Hall of Justice in Sta. Barbara village, Zamboanga City, the police said Friday, August 24.

Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested KFRG member as Nasir Daud, a resident of Tumalutab village, east of this city.

The information officer said Daud has standing warrant of arrest for the crime of kidnapping and serious illegal detention with ransom issued by a local court.

She said Daud is one of the primary suspects in the kidnapping of Rainer William Clemente on January 21, 2004 in the village of Pasonanca, this city. (SunStar Philippines)
