Motorcycle-riding gunmen shoot businessman

MOTORCYCLE-RIDING assailants shot and wounded a businessman in Isabela City, Basilan province, the police said Thursday, November 21.

Police Lieutenant Colonel William Gadayan, Isabela City police chief, identified the victim as Marwan Nasarani, 40, a native of the village of Babag, Bubuan Island, Tabuan Lasa, Basilan.

Nasarani is temporarily residing in Tabuk Village, Isabela City.

Gadayan said Nasarani was driving his motorcycle around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Purok 7 in Tabuk Village, when shot by one of two men riding tandem on a motorcycle.

Gadayan said recovered from the crime scene were spent shells of caliber .45 pistol.

He said Nasarani was taken to the Basilan Community Hospital and later transferred to a hospital in Zamboanga City. (SunStar Zamboanga)
