AUTHORITIES have arrested a high-value target in a drug bust in Zamboanga City, an official said Monday, March 2.

Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspect as Al-Raphi Abdul, 30, a construction worker.

Galvez said Abdul was nabbed around 2:45 p.m. Sunday, March 1, in Sitio Pantano, Barangay San Roque, Zamboanga City.

Abdul has been listed as the number two priority target of the Zamboanga City Police Office's Police Station 7.

Confiscated from him were P2,000 worth of substance believed to be shabu and P200 marked money.

Galvez said the suspect was detained while a case for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against him. (SunStar Zamboanga)
