THE Zamboanga City Medical Center (ZCMC) is conducting an anti-illegal drugs advocacy as part of its Poison Prevention Week observance in this city this year.

Dr. Aeesha Yahcob Pingli, ZCMC poison unit head, the poison prevention week will kick off on Monday, June 18, until June 24 but the conduct of the advocacy will be run until the end of the year.

Pingli, a clinical toxicologist of ZCMC, said the advocacy will be conduct on schools to educate the students on the ill effects of the illegal drugs.

The poison unit head said the youth will get away from illegal drugs once they will be aware of its ill effects.

She said they will enhance the advocacy since the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte is focused against illegal drugs.

Pingli said the advocacy will be anchored on the theme “#Lodi kita...mga mag-aaral ng tumatangi sa droga.” (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
