Police nab 2 most wanted persons

GOVERNMENT operatives have arrested two most wanted persons in separate law enforcement operations in the provinces of Zamboanga del Norte and Zamboanga Sibugay, the police reported Monday, May 31, 2021.

Police Major Shellamie Chang, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested wanted persons as Glen Ponce, 42, and Limoden Odja, 33.

Chang said Ponce was arrested in an intelligence-driven law enforcement operation by way of service warrant of arrest around 12:25 p.m. Sunday, M ay 30, in Purok 5 in Santa Cruz village, La Libertad, Zamboanga del Norte.

Chang said Ponce, a resident of Mabunaw village, Rizal, Zamboanga del Norte, has been listed as the number four wanted person in Concepcion, Misamis Occidental and has a standing warrant of arrest for attempted murder with no recommended bail dated April 14, 2021 issued by the court of Calamba of the same province.

Chang said Odja was arrested also in a law enforcement operation around 1:20 p.m. Sunday in Sitio Limuno in Timuay Danda village, Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay.

She said Odja has been listed as the number nine most wanted person in Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay and has a standing warrant of arrest for carnapping with P300,000 recommended bail date May 4, 2020 and issued by the court of Imelda of the same province. (SunStar Zamboanga)
