Police nab ‘hired killers’

AUTHORITIES arrested two suspected “hired killers” Saturday, August 3, 2019 in Dipolog City.

Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, said the suspects Arvin Emperio and Jayson Jakosalem of Misamis Occidental and Lanao del Norte, respectively, were roaming around the village of Punta, Dipolog City onboard a motorcycle when authorities arrested them around 11:25 a.m.

Galvez said the two allegedly will “execute” a retired police official.

This, according to a recorded conversation of the suspects through their cellular phone which police have recovered.

Galvez said the suspects were formerly charged for robbery and illegal possession of firearms in the cities of Oroqiueta and Dipolog.

Recovered from the suspects were a grenade, a caliber .45 pistol and caliber .38 revolver with ammunition, two cellular phones, two sachets of suspected shabu and one face mask. (SunStar Philippines)
