THE Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced Friday, June 18, 2021, the completion of the P28-million farm-to-market road concreting project in the province of Tawi-Tawi.

The DPWH said the project, which involved the concreting of 848 linear meters, is located in Sanga-Sanga village, Bongao, the capital of the Tawi-Tawi province.

The improved road provides efficient means of transportation and delivery of crops and agricultural products from the community to the market, according to the DPWH.

Copra is the top agricultural product of Sanga-Sanga. It is followed by root crops, fruits, and vegetables.

The implementation of the project was made possible through the convergence program of the DPWH and the Department of Agriculture. (SunStar Zamboanga)
