School chorale group hauls medals in Indonesia

THE Zamboanga City State Polytechnic College (ZCSPC) Cantamos Chorale has bagged two gold and one silver medals in the four-day 4th North Sumatera International Choir Competition at Parapat, Lake Tabu, Indonesia.

This, as they bested over 19 other contestants in the Folklore and Mixed Choir Categories and bagged one gold medal each as well as a silver medal in the Church Music category in the international competition held from August 27 to 31.

Elmer Atilano, ZCSPC Cantamos Choral director, said they sung Ahibakle, Kruhay, and Yamko Ramber in Folklore category; Obar-Obar A Tambis, Esto Les Digo in Mixed Choir; and, My Life in You and Prayer of St. Francis in Church music category.

“Thank you so much God Almighty for this wonderful blessings you have given to us during the 4th North Sumatera International Choir Competition in Indonesia,” Atilano said as he dedicate their victory to “all of you my dear Zamboangueños.”
