Senior citizen loses home to fire

A SENIOR citizen lost some P1 million worth of properties in a fire in Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay, the police said Saturday, December 15.

Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, said the incident happened around 2:25 p.m. Friday at Purok Mauswagon in Poblacion village, Titay.

Galvez said the fire razed the house of Guillermo Manuel, 66, a member of the senior citizen organization in Titay.

She said investigation showed the fire started at the second floor of the residence of Manuel and rapidly engulfed the entire house. The firemen declared fire out around 2:40 p.m.

There was no reported casualty during the incident, she added. (SunStar Philippines)
